Transistor Transistor

Transistor Transistor started in a cluttered basement in Derry, New Hampshire in 2001. With nothing better to do than commit petty acts of vandalism, and practice all the time, the band got going quickly. By 2003 the band had toured relentlessly and worked with bands such as Wolves, Light the Fuse and Run, Daughters, Hot Cross, and Mannequin.

Birds in Row

Too straight forward and too filthy to get back to the so-called hardcore fanbase that bloomed on Modern Life Is War’s grave, too kind to belong to the crust/sludge scene, the three hardworkers from BIRDS IN ROW seem to avoid their city as much as labels. Then you can still wonder where do they take place between Modern Life Is War, Kylesa or Cursed. The first ones for the guts unpacking and their heartbreaking spleen, the second for their punk roughness and their abilities to enlight dirt and the last ones for the urging adrenalin discharges. But it is certainly not that. It is hardcore as it is supposed to be played. Period.

A Light in the Attic

A Light in the Attic is a screamo band from California.
Members (ex or current or both) of Yaphet Kotto and Suicide Nation kick out the jams together. For a trio, this band makes a whole lot of noise – and it sounds fucking amazing! Take the monstrously epic Yaphet Kotto parts, some thrashing hardcore and the atmosphere of a good Black Metal record and you’re almost there.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

From the fragments of a supposed Luxembourgish music underground scene, from the pieces of dashed bands (Actarus, Desiderata, Ganesha, Poshblokes and Petrograd), Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? formed early 2004 as a collage, a mosaic patchwork of sonic styles, tastes and attitudes.

Complex rhythms, hardcore rage, the so called socio-political thought and a dose of experimental sonic confusion all smashed together in order to create a seamless ball of energy, best transmitted in its immediate (immediately (at once) & immediately (without mediation)) state, i.e. live shows, is what best describes the formation.

First mediated outputs were the 10 tracks E.P, adacta/preface released on winged skull in 2004, quickly followed by a split 7inch with aggra makabra, a co production of 6 different international labels. Concerts and tours in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, the Czech Republic and the U.K. followed. Then in July 2007 Snapshot Lamento, the first full-length of DADOES? was released by Blade Runner, Kuato and Winged Skull.

As the constant struggle for self-reinvention goes on, so does the striking hit and run. We travel the seas, and we will leave a note here and there All the moves of our (you & us) dances, all the tones of our screaming voices, all the pearls of our sweating bodies All that matters in the end…

Bucket Full of Teeth

The stunted bastard avant-grind brainchild from members of Orchid, Wolves, Ampere and Anton Bordman is ready to rear it's ugly head one more Formed in Early 2001 by Brad Wallace and Will Killingsworth, both former members of Orchid, Bucket Full of Teeth was conceived as a friendly venture in playing generic powerviolence but instantaneosly evolved into much more. The band quickly become more interested in pushing conventions of heavy music and punk rock, and in 2002 released 3 7"s simultaneously as a first attempt at personal experimentation and musical destruction.

Having only played 6 shows ever, and primarily a studio project, Bucket Full of Teeth began work on new material in 2002. Between membership changes, and other members serving time in Ampere, Wolves, and Transistor Transistor, Bucket Full of Teeth have constructed this final recording, fusing elements of Death Metal, Ambient, Psychedlic, Prog, Thrash and Stoner Rock into a cohesive whole much better serving the original musical thesis attempted in their early recordings. Self-Recorded and painstakingly edited and revised at Dead Air Studios over the past two years Bucket Full of Teeth have produced a collage of sonic destruction both heavy and unpredictable. The band has said this will be their final release but rumors of working on new material and live incarnations surface often.

City of Caterpillar

City of Caterpillar was the product of a collaboration between members of Kilara, pg99, Darkest Hour and later, Majority Rule. Hearing that, you'd expect nothing but scathing metallic hardcore, but City of Caterpillar infused this with a sinister, majestic beauty a'la Godspeed You Black Emperor and Explosions in the Sky that had never been tried before. Songs built for 10 minutes to explode with breaking bottles to act as percussion.

In the beginning they did 2 full tours on only a demo. A split with friends System 2600 followed as did a 1-sided tour 7inch, both of which were released in batches of 300. City of Caterpillar really caught everyone's attention when their split with twisted siblings pg.99 was released.

For a time the band was on an extended hiatus with Brandon and Kevin both on tour nonstop with pg.99 and Ryan's commitment to then little known metal act known as Darkest Hour. All in all, all the members were together for the one week out of a 6 month period where their schedules meshed up and they recorded their sole LP. Shortly afterwords Ryan was replaced by Pat from Majority Rule when Ryan could no longer commit to touring, and they hit the road again and even toured Japan with label mates Envy and Hot Cross.

Upon returning home, City of Caterpillar did a week in Canada with Strike Anywhere before mounting personal conflicts caused them to disband.

Pyramids

Pyramids formed in late August 2005 after three long-time friends, who had played with one another for many years in A Petal Fallen , found a house in Philadelphia and decided to write music together again. Living together in the Veggieplex Theatre and being largely unemployed, we found a lot of time to practice, ended up playing our first show only a few weeks after beginning to write, and began recording a full-length only a month after conceiving the band.

As we were finishing the recording of our record Following the Tracks, Forcing Motion Through Phases, we played a lot of shows and had a lot of fun, but upon its completion Chris decided Philadelphia was not for him and moved back to Seattle, followed shortly thereafter by Eric. With a three-week tour on the horizon and only one person left to play it, Larry and Daniel decided to help out and we took Pyramids on the road with only 1/3 of its original members, even writing some new songs (for the Devices split) in the process.

At the moment Pyramids has found permanent membership in Sean, Dave, and Benn, and is nearing completion of a new LP, Through the Hourglass. Following is already out of print in its LP form, and will hopefully be repressed soon, to coincide with our upcoming split 7”s. In a month or two we should be recording for yet another split, this time with our tour partners from last year, Capsule.
